General Washing

Products

“C” – Detail Wash
“VG-WM” – Wash Mitt
“VG-SC” – Chamois

Step 1

Mix product “C” – Detail Wash 128-1 (1 oz. to 1 gallon of water) with cool water in a clean bucket.

(Detail Wash is a neutral pH car wash shampoo)

Step 2

Pre-rinse vehicle thoroughly from top to bottom.

Make sure the vehicle is cool to the touch.

Step 3

Wash vehicle from top to bottom.

Include glass, bumpers, rocker panels, etc. turning wash mitt frequently.

DO NOT ALLOW SOLUTION TO DRY ON VEHICLE!

Step 4

Rinse vehicle completely from top to bottom with cool water.

Step 5

Dry vehicle completely with clean soft chamois followed by clean microfiber.

Step 6

Inspect for cleanliness.  Inspect paint for defects.

Tech Tips

Keep chamois clean by rinsing with clean water often.

Mixing Tip: 1 ounce of product “C” Detail Wash to one gallon of water

5 ounces to a five gallon bucket.

Wheels / Brake Dust

Products

“F” – Custom Wheel Cleaner

Step 1

Pre-rinse all four wheels.

MAKE SURE WHEELS ARE COOL TO THE TOUCH

Step 2

Apply product “F” – Custom Wheel Cleaner with trigger spray – allow to dwell 3-5 minutes.

Agitate with soft brush.  Re-spray as needed.

Step 3

Rinse with high pressure cool water, thoroughly.

Step 4

Wash with product “C” Detail Wash to ensure complete cleaning and
removal of all wheel cleaner.

Rinse completely.

Step 5

Tech Tips

DO NOT use on non-clear coated alloy wheels.

These are usually polished aftermarket wheels.

Tires / White Walls / Tire Bluing

Products

“G” – Omni All Purpose Cleaner

“VG-1580″ – Brass Bristle Tire Brush

Step 1

Pre-rinse all tires and wheels.

Step 2

Spray product “G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner on all four tires and allow
to dwell at least two minutes, agitate with stiff brush.

Step 3

For white walls, agitate with “VG-1580″ Brass Bristle Tire Brush.

Step 4

For bluing, allow product to dwell 3 minutes, agitate and re-spray with
product and allow to dwell 2 minutes.

Use high pressure water rinse.

Step 5

Dress tires by applying product “E” Premium Dressing to sponge
and wipe on tires, let dry 5 minutes and remove excess.

Apply a second coat if desired.

Tech Tips

Dress tires with water based dressing only.

Use product “E” Premium Dressing.

Oils / Tar / Undercoating / Adhesives

Products

“N” New Car Prep

Step 1

For large areas spray product “N” New Car Prep directly on area and allow
to dwell 3-5 minutes before wiping.

Step 2

For small areas dampen soft towel with product and wipe area.

Step 3

Some road tar such as slurry seal will require more time or additional steps.

Tech Tips

Heavy deposits of tar will require more dwell time and possible reapplication
of product “N” New Car Prep.

Tree Sap / Bugs

Products

“G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner

“N” New Car Prep

Step 1

For bugs spray all affected areas with product “G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner (10:1).

Allow to dwell to dissolve bugs then agitate with “VG-IS” Insect Pad.

Step 2

For etch marks from bugs, refer to Vehicle Paint Problems and Solutions for buffing instructions.

Step 3

Some tree sap can be removed with the “A-B-C” System described in the
Vehicle Paint Problems & Solutions.

Others can be removed with product “G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner (10:1),
Spray on and allow to dwell for 3-5 minutes.

Step 4

For all other saps use product “N” New Car Prep, spray product on sap and allow to dwell
up to 15 minutes to soften sap, wipe with towel and re-apply if necessary.

Step 5

Wash vehicle with “C” Detail Wash to remove all residue.

Tech Tips

“Bug Sponges” can scratch the paint.

If you use one make make sure you have plenty of product on the paint and

DO NOT use excessive pressure while rubbing.

Engine Compartments

Products

“V” Engine Degreaser Concentrate (5:1 or 10:1)

For light cleaning of engine compartments product “G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner may be substituted.

Step 1

Pre-rinse engine compartment to remove loose dirt, use air to remove leaves, etc.

Step 2

For heavy deposits mix product “V” Engine Degreaser Concentrate (5:1) with water.

For light duty cleaning mix product “V” Engine Degreaser Concentrate (10:1) .

Apply solution of product “C” Detail Wash to fenders to prevent streaking.

Step 3

Apply mixed product with trigger spray or Swenson Sprayer to underside of hood and entire engine compartment.

Make sure you spray all areas thoroughly.

Step 4

Allow product to dwell for at least 5 minutes.

Agitate all areas you can  with long handled brush.

Re-spray as needed.

Step 5

Wash areas such as underside of hood, jambs, radiator support, etc.
with an old wash mitt.

Step 6

Rinse with high pressure water, starting with the underside of the hood,
then jambs and engine.

Step 7

Check your work!!

Tech Tips

DO NOT exceed 1200 psi

DO NOT spray electronic connectors

DO NOT spray tire dressings on engines, wipe on only to selected areas.

Keep brushes, mitts, etc. in a separate bucket – DO NOT put them in with your regular car wash mitt and bucket

Vinyl Tops

Products

“G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner (10:1)

Step 1

Rinse vehicle completely from top to bottom.

Step 2

Apply product “G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner (10:1) to vinyl top
with trigger sprayer (evenly).

Step 3

Wash vehicle with product “C” Detail Wash.

Leave product on vehicle while agitating.

Step 4

Using “VG-1535″ Velour Spotting Brush, agitate vinyl top scrubbing
all areas with slight pressure, scrubbing in all directions.

Re-apply product “G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner (10:1) as needed.

Step 5

Rinse completely from top to bottom flushing all product from
vehicle, including jambs, channels, etc.

Dry with clean chamois or towels.

Allow top to dry completely before applying any dressing.

Step 6

For dressing vinyl tops use product “E” Premium Dressing.

Wipe product over entire top, allow to dry 5 minutes then wipe off excess.

Step 7

For long term protection use product “ETR -UV” – UV Gard from ETR III Kit.

Apply a thin coat with a clean dry sponge and allow to dry.

Tech Tips

DO NOT mix bleach with any other chemical or product.

Moldings / Trim

Products

“D” Trim N’ Molding Dressing

“ETR” – ETR II Kit

Step 1

For trim in good condition clean with product “G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner (10:1)
or product “N” New Car Prep.

Allow to dry.

Step 2

Apply product “D” Trim N’ Molding with “VG-SB” blue sponge.

DO NOT spray, pour a small amount onto sponge then apply to molding, allow to dry 5 minutes.

Remove excess.

Step 3

For faded or badly stained parts use “ETR” ETR Kit II, follow instructions
provided with each kit.

Tech Tips

Apply a coat of product “D” Trim N’ Molding Dressing to all
exterior vinyl trim before buffing, to prevent buff splatter from
penetration into the part.

Interiors: Cloth / Headliners

Products

“G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner (10:1)

“N” New Car Prep

“VG-112A” Aerosol Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner

Step 1

Vacuum interior thoroughly and completely, including under seats,
upholstery, floor mats, package tray, etc.

For areas not accessible to vacuum, blow out debris with air pressure.

Step 2

Pre-spray all stains with product “G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner (10:1).

For heavy grease or tar spots pre-spray with product “N” New Car Prep.

Use product “N” sparingly.

Step 3

Door Panels – Spray entire panel with product “G” Onmi All Purpose Cleaner (10:1).

Allow to dwell a few seconds, agitate with “VG-1535″ Velour Spotting Brush.

Wipe with clean towels, use air to blow out all cracks, around controls, etc.

Headliner – Clean headliner by spraying “VG-112A” Aerosol Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner
onto clean towel and wipe headliner.

Immediately wipe with second dry towel, continue until entire headliner is clean.

Use only lint free towels.

Step 4

Door Panels – Spray entire panel with product “G” Onmi All Purpose Cleaner (10:1).

Allow to dwell a few seconds, agitate with “VG-1535″ Velour Spotting Brush.

Wipe with clean towels, use air to blow out all cracks, around controls, etc.

Step 5

Dash – Spray dash with product “G” Onmi All Purpose Cleaner (10:1), except gauge cover.

Allow to dwell a few seconds, agitate with “VG-1535″ Velour Spotting Brush.

Wipe dry with clean towel, use air to blow out all crevices, controls, vents, etc.

Step 6

Seats – Spray seats with product “G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner (10:1).

Agitate with “VG-1535″ Velour Spotting Brush.

Wipe or blot with clean towels.

Step 7

Carpet – Spray carpet with product “G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner (10:1).

Allow to soak a few seconds.

Agitate with “VG-1545″ Carpet Brush.

Wipe or blot with clean towel or use extractor wtih clean water.

Remove all excess moisture!

Tech Tips

DO NOT over wet any part of the interior.

DO NOT “shoot” extractor solution into seats.

Use product  “S” Odor Terminator in extractor water to help eliminate odors.

Mix 4 oz. of product “S” Odor Terminator per gallon of rinse solution.

Interiors: Leather / Vinyl

Products

“G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner (10:1)

“E” Premium Dressing

“VG-201″ Leather Cleaner

“VG-202″ Leather Conditioner

Step 1

Test for non-clear coated by wiping a small area with product
“G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner (10:1) and a clean white towel.

If color of leather is present stop.

If no color is present.

Step 2

For vinyl, spray a small amount of product “G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner (10:1) on surface and wipe dry.

For heavy soiled areas use “VG-1535″ Velour Spotting Brush to agitate product.

Step 3

For leather, clean with “VG-201″ Leather Cleaner.

Spray small amount onto seats.

Work into a lather with a damp sponge or towel.

Step 4

Wipe off completely with soft clean towels and allow to dry.

Step 5

Apply “VG-202″ Leather Conditioner to soft towel or sponge
onto leather lightly coating all surfaces.

Step 6

Wipe off any excess with clean dry towel.

Tech Tips

Dress interiors using only a water based dressing such as product “E” Premium Dressing.

DO NOT use any dressing on steering wheel or foot pedals.

Odors

Products

“S” Odor Terminator

Step 1

Make sure interior is properly cleaned and source of odor is removed.

Step 2

Spray product “S” Odor Terminator into headliner, seats, carpet, vents, trunk, close doors and windows.

Spray every surface inside the vehicle with a fine mist.

Step 3

For air conditioning odors, mold, mildew, musty smell, etc. run blower on high and mist product “S” Odor Terminator into intake vent on outside of the vehicle.

Step 4

Set to recirculate and spray into air intake in passenger compartment.

Tech Tips

Odor Terminator is not a perfume or cover-up scent.

This product must make contact with the surface in order for it to work.

Showroom Vehicles

Products

“VG-135″ Fast Finish

Soft clean towels/microfiber

Step 1

Spray “VG-135″ Fast Finish onto panel, spread with soft clean towel.

Step 2

Allow product to “flash” approximately 30 seconds, then wipe dry with second clean soft towel.

Step 3

Turn towels frequently to be sure to remove all product.

Step 4

Extremely dirty vehicles, mud, etc. must be washed and dried to prevent scratching.

Step 5

May be also used as a wax as you dry.

Step 6

Wash Vehicle, rinse.

Spray entire vehicle with “VG-135″ Fast Finish, dry with chamois.

Step 7

Follow by drying with clean microfiber towel.

Glass

Products

“H” Glass Cleaner / RTU or 10:1 concentrate.

“VG-ST” Surgical towels for glass.

“VG-H114A” Aerosol Glass Cleaner

Step 1

Remove any decals or stickers.

Always use 2 clean towels, dedicated to window cleaning.

Step 2

Spray a fine mist of product “H” Glass Cleaner over entire surface of glass.

Step 3

Use one clean lint free towel folded into a square.

Use even pressure to clean glass.

Step 4

Use second clean towel to dry and polish glass until streak and smear free.

Step 5

Do not lower windows once you are finished.

Tech Tips

To remove aftermarket tint – peel off tint film, then spray glue residue with
product “G” Omni All Purpose Cleaner (10:1) and allow to dwell 3-5 minutes.

Glass Cleaner will not “break” the glue.
